Spring Food Drive
Last week in Phil's Lent post he said,
We cannot love the Lord well if we do not seek to love others well.
We have a saying at Grace Church that we are "blessed to be a blessing". Phil's quote and this saying both lead us to Christ-like living as we imitate Christ in His practice of loving and serving others. This is a huge motivator for our outreach ministry at Grace Church. We serve in our community for the glory of God and for the sake of the world.
Twice a year we hold a food drive to serve our community and to help support the food pantries in our neighborhood located at Epiphany Lutheran Church and The University Church. Both churches also partner with us in the school supply pantry. In addition, we partner with The University Church, in partnering with Rogers High School.
Our Spring Food Drive has begun and will run through April 16. The food list is below. Please purchase items that are on the food list, as we have asked the food pantries for the items they are most in need of. You can bring your food donations to the lobby on Sunday mornings. If you would prefer to give a monetary donation, you can do so by writing "food drive" in the memo of your check. Or you can place cash in an envelope marked "food drive".
With food prices continually rising, we hope to bless our neighbors by helping to support our neighborhood food pantries. Even if you are only able to purchase one item, it will all add up to help stock the food pantries.
