Review: There's been a lot this past Holy week.  From Palm Sunday, to Thursday (the night before gathering), to Good Friday, all culminating then on Easter morning.  What is maybe one thing that struck you most, and why? 

Take a moment in prayer, welcoming the Spirit's presence. Then read John 20:1-10.  What stands out to you about the story?

This past week, we highlighted seeing and believing (v8). On Sunday, Phil distinguished the difference between the two. He even used the classic "chair" metaphor.  Seeing a chair is one thing. Believing in it by actually sitting in it is another.  How does seeing the ways God has acted in both the past and present help you to believe in Him more today? How is that belief visible in your daily life? 

Phil shared four "if/then" statements from pastor Mike Sares about the resurrection of Jesus.  Take a moment to consider each.  

1. If Jesus rose from the dead, then Christianity is true and every other religion is false.

2. If Jesus rose from the dead, then life does not end at the grave.

3. If Jesus rose from the dead, then we, as a human race, must have been in very bad shape. 

4. If Jesus rose from the dead, then God loves you whether you like or not.

One of the greatest evidences of the truth and power of the Christ's resurrection is the way our Risen Lord, both in the past and present, changes people's lives. In what ways does hearing the testimony of others build your faith?  ​​

If in a group, take a moment to quietly consider the following statement, "In Jesus, I have found _________." Or in 2 or 3 sentences consider, "This is how Jesus changed my life."  Then share with one another to build one another up.  

 Who is perhaps someone in your life that does not know Jesus that you could share this with? Pray and ask the Holy Spirit for the power and opportunity to bear witness. ​
