2. Take a few moments and read 1 John 4:7-12 aloud.  What stands out to you?  Is there anything here that stands out as if you've never heard it before?

3. In what way(s) is Jesus the manifestation of God's love among us? 

4. Think of a time when you found it difficult to receive love.  What made it difficult? How did you get past that (did you get past that)?

5. What makes it difficult for you to believe that God really loves you? Take a moment in prayer, and ask Jesus to help you receive His love. 

6. Describe a time when you found it difficult to extend love to someone.  What made it difficult?  How did you get past that (did you get past that)?  Take a moment in prayer, and ask Jesus to help you extend His love to others.
